Why would a guy from Denmark use a Swedish domain to blog about the Great Wall in China?

Well to be honest I would prefer a Danish domain, but I also prefer a domain as simple as possible and most of the Great Wall domains are already in use by others. I’m lucky to be stationed abroad in Tanghan in the eastern part of the Hebei province, approximately 2 hours drive from Beijing. Not that Tangshan itself is a very interesting place, but its location makes it perfect for trips to the Great Wall.

To most people the Great Wall is Badaling, even to Chinese, but the Great Wall is far more than the tourist infected inferno at Badaling. The purpose of this blog is to describe my trips to the Great Wall and other Great Wall related subjects. Hopefully this can be an inspiration for other Great Wall enthusiasts and tourists with a general interest in the Great Wall. My hope is that this site can boost the acknowledgement that The Great Wall of China is in fact a great wall of all of China and not just the Beijing area. Of cause most people already know that, but when it comes to visiting the Great Wall there at places much more interesting than Badaling and equally well known Beijing sections.
